The philosophy of our research group is that we are a team, and every member in the lab is equally important. We believe we can only succeed and do great science when everyone feels heard, expresses their opinion freely and their opinion is valued.

We support mutual respect for others and ourselves in the lab, and embrace diversity, celebrate and give equal rights and opportunities to every person. One of my priorities is that the lab work environment is kind, fair and all members feel comfortable and integrated in the team. It is also the responsibility of all lab members to foster a nice, kind, and helpful atmosphere in which each of us can learn and grow. By acknowledging and supporting one another, we can all work in a healthier environment, learn and develop more, and be more productive as a team.
One of the things I am most proud of in our lab is that we all work together, truly supporting and caring for each other. And I believe this is the key to our success and good work.

My aim, with each one of the members of the team, is to prepare them and give them better opportunities for their future, by helping and supporting individuals’ development, both in their careers and in their personal life skills.

Regarding the scientific work we do, we have research integrity in the center of our daily discussions. We look for excellence in everything we do, and prioritize doing high quality, reliable and trustworthy research.

We believe that the science we do can make a difference in our society. We work with the hope that the research we do can help in the advancement of knowledge, and hopefully impact in tackling the terrible diseases we study.

I expect every new member who joins our lab to contribute to excellence in science in accordance with the lab values.
